LOCATION
Edmond, Oklahoma

AREA
24,000 GSF

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The City of Edmond is home to one of Oklahoma’s busiest and well-known public courses, KickingBird Golf Course. In 2020, prompted by the course’s growing membership and outdated facilities, the City of Edmond began work on a $20 million upgrade project. The improvements included demolishing the original clubhouse and building a new clubhouse and event center. This new facility will now host all golf tournaments pre- and post-round functions, including community events such as business meetings, high school reunions, wedding receptions, and sports team banquets.

The IP Design Group team worked with Bockus Payne Architecture and provided the telecommunications, electronic security, and audiovisual systems design on this project.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

  • The telecommunications systems design included structured cabling infrastructure design and build-out of dedicated spaces for communications equipment, cabling, and all associated infrastructure, resulting in a comprehensive system that supports voice/data, life safety, security, and audiovisual transmission.
  • The electronic security services included access control, intrusion detection, and electronic video surveillance.
  • The audiovisual systems design was featured in the conference/meeting rooms, boardroom, banquet rooms, lounge, and pro shop. It also included video presentation equipment, content collaboration equipment, sound reinforcement, digital signage displays, and background music.
