PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Stanley M. Truhlsen Eye Institute is a world-class facility that integrates clinicians, researchers, and patients into one state-of-the-art facility. Patients are served with the latest specialized care techniques and diagnostic medicine in the Eye Institute. Program areas include out-patient eye exam facilities for all ophthalmic sub-specialties, a children’s eye care center, clinic research, and a regional diagnostic center.
PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
- Design of a robust telecommunications system with Category 6A cabling was provided for telecommunication services including voice, data and wireless technologies now and in the future.
- Electronic access control system was designed to provide secure access to the main entrances to the building and several key programmatic spaces.
- IP-based video surveillance cameras were placed at strategic locations in the facility and connect to the university’s video management system.
- Audiovisual equipment has been specified within a lecture room and meeting spaces to provide distance learning and web conferencing in addition to support of interactive displays.
