PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The allied health complex houses Langston University’s School of Nursing and Health Professions on its Tulsa campus, which offers career-advancing completion programs for associate degree registered nurses and licensed practical nurses. According to the University, the Tulsa Allied Health Facility was built with three objectives in mind: to enhance access to education in Tulsa, to meet the needs of the healthcare workforce, and to reduce health disparities in North Tulsa.

The allied health complex includes simulation labs with artificial intelligence-powered manikins, classrooms, a lecture hall, conference and meeting rooms, and administrative office spaces.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

• Voice and data horizontal cabling was installed to work area outlets in the building, including wireless access points and IP-based equipment, such as video surveillance cameras and campus emergency alerting equipment.
• Telecommunications rooms were designed for the space, including equipment for termination and mounting of the Owner’s network electronics.
• Audiovisual systems equipment and supporting infrastructure systems were included in classrooms, teaching labs, simulation labs, conference/training rooms, collaboration spaces, meeting rooms, and debrief rooms.
• Access control systems and video surveillance were provided for the addition and existing building to be compatible with the existing university systems.
