PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The American Cancer Society estimates that more than 18,000 Oklahomans are diagnosed with cancer every year and that 3,700 cancer patients travel 40 miles or more for treatment in Oklahoma City. The American Cancer Society’s Chad Richison Hope Lodge ensures that anyone who is traveling to the Oklahoma City area has access to free lodging and a communal support system. The beautiful facility serves approximately 2,400 parents and caregivers annually while providing 14,600 free nights of lodging, equivalent to nearly $2 million in annual savings.
The Chad Richison Hope Lodge has 34 guestrooms, each with a private bathroom and a small living area. Free, on-site parking is available at the lodge, as well as kitchens, laundry facilities, common guest lounges, and a dining room.
PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
- The IP Design Group team planning sessions with the owner’s IT staff to determine structured cabling requirements for telecommunication services, telecommunications voice and data systems, wireless networks, audiovisual systems, and security systems.
- Designed telecommunications systems entrance room and telecommunications rooms throughout the building for terminating cabling and mounting network equipment.
- The team designed coaxial and data cabling for television displays for the living rooms, bedrooms, and lounge spaces.
- Designed electronic video surveillance system and electronic access control system.
