Jacob Schenkelberg

Jacob grew up taking industrial technology courses, such as Revit, in high school. While studying computer engineering at Kansas State University, he realized that he wanted to enter the design field. After trying things out on the electrical engineering side of things, Jacob quickly realized that his education, training, and interests were best suited to technology design.
A desire to be a leader within the architectural, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry stems from his passion for teaching. He taught martial arts to children with special needs for five years and found that being a mentor and coach was incredibly rewarding. Jacob wants to bring this same mentorship approach to the AEC industry by sharing his knowledge about technology and its implementation in design and supporting others in their professional growth.
Jacob envisions a future where technology design is seamlessly integrated into building infrastructure, making it more efficient and less obtrusive. To enhance that vision and be a better consultant for his clients, Jacob is working on developing his skills within Revit and pursuing his Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification. He has also obtained a Master of Business Administration from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
“My desire to be a leader within the AEC industry stems from my passion for teaching. I’m particularly interested in sharing my knowledge about technology and its implementation in design.”
