IP Design Group Names Kelly as Principal
IP Design Group named Pat Kelly RCDD, DBIA a principal in the firm. In his new role, Pat will provide active leadership to execute the firm’s strategic initiatives for delivering excellent technology solutions, client satisfaction, and quality projects.
Pat got his start in the architecture, engineering, and construction (A-E-C) industry with a degree in construction management. While in school, he added to his education as an electrician for his family’s electrical contracting business. After graduation, he looked for a position where he could put both his construction and electrical background to use in the A-E-C industry. While electrical design was his passion, Pat also explored technology design through a Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification and now finds low voltage systems design just as rewarding.
Pat’s diverse experiences across the industry give him a unique perspective on how building systems can be better integrated in a built space. This includes the careful coordination of telecommunications, audiovisual, acoustical, and security systems for all types of buildings across the country. He uses this perspective not only to guide his own designs, but to help building owners, architects, and developers integrate the best technology solutions for their individual needs.
A natural leader, Pat surrounds himself with passionate people to ensure project success. He learned and developed management skills like communication and organization through the course of his career and earned the trust of his team members. As a principal at IP Design Group, Pat focuses on growth – growth of the firm, growth as a team, and growth for each individual staff member. Through these team and client relationships, Pat continues to share the excitement and innovation technology can bring to spaces.
“I actively look for ways to embrace diversity on projects. From team members to the clients we work with, I believe collaboration across disciplines and trades is the future of our industry.”
